Appologies for being late with this post! Hopefully your diaries are not too booked up to make room for our program for the next three months.
Great News: From October we will be starting our Social Events again! While the monthly meetings will stay on zoom for a few months yet, the Social Events are all about meeting in person. Two events are in the planning so far – an Italian Evening in October and a Christmas Wreath making session in December. Look out for separate announements with dates and details of how to sign up.

After initially re-scheduling the September meeting, Craft Club have decided to change tack and meet for a social chat session at the Greenhouse Cafe at the Langton Garden Centre on 9th September at 2.30pm – bring your crafting project if you like.
16th September, 2pm – The September meeting has also moved a bit from the 13th. It will again be held at the Greenhouse Cafe at the Langton’s Garden Centre. The book for the month will be
“One August Night” by Victoria Hislop
22nd September, 7.30 pm – September is the month for our AGM and as already advised in our recent email it has been decided to hold this again via Zoom due to the rising covid infections. So we’ll be organising an online voting solution and distribute the access details via email. But just because we are holding the meeting online does not mean that we are not planning some fun: There will be a quiz and prizes and a pre-view of the plans for the coming year too.

7th October – The Craft Club will be back to it’s usual slot in the calendar from October. This month we will be sorting out and sewing up squares for the Harborough Crochet Christmas Tree Project. We’ll confirm time and location closer nearer the date.
14th October, 2pm – The October meeting will take place on the 14th instead of the 11th to allow everyone to attend. The meeting will take place at the Greenhouse Cafe at the Langton Garden Centre and we will be discussing:
“A Dangerous Inheritance” by Alison Weir
27th October, 7.30 pm – In October we are very excited to welcome Petra Wenham from the Ipswich Cake and Revolution WI to speak at our monthly meeting. Petra made history when she was chosen for the cover story of WILife recently and will give a talk about her life and experiences as a transgender woman. This promises to be an interesting evening, so we hope you can all join us!

11th November – The group will be deciding time, location and book for November at the next meeting – details here in the next edition of ‘Dates for the Diary’
24th November, 7.30 pm – Remember the Tai-Chi session with Tina Lloyd from My Senior Gym? According to our survey this was one of the most popular sessions and so we are planning another activity filled evening for our November monthly meeting. No experience needed, just wear comfortable clothes and clear a bit of floor space to take part!
