Our first in-person meeting back at the Congregational Hall went really well – even if attendees spent more time chatting after the excercise session than actually training… It is just so nice to meet people again!
The big news of the month is that we will be moving in January to a new meeting location. The monthly meetings will be held at the Church Hall of Our Lady of Victories in Fairfield Road. So our Christmas Party on the 15th December will be the last meeting at the old premises and we hope you’ll all attend so that we can say good-bye in style.

2nd December, 7.30pm – The Craft Club is joining forces with the Social Event Team for a Christmas Wreath Making Workshop. To take part you’ll need to sign up by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The cost per person is £ 30.00 and includes all materials. The deadline for subscription is the first week of November, so don’t leave it too late as spaces are limited.
The Market Harborough Crochet Christmas Tree
The Tree is up – and it even made the BBC News! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-59475567. Well done to Fiona, Clare and Carmen for pulling this off! And if you are one of the many that have contributed squares to the tree then have a look to see if you can spot yours up on the tree!
9th December – The theme for the December meeting is ‘Food’. Members can choose their own favourite or read the Club suggestion: “Scoff” by Pen Vogler.
The Book Club Group will be meeting at the Greenhouse Cafe at the Langton Garden Centre at 2.30pm.
15th December, 7.30pm – As usual our Christmas Party will take place a week earlier than the usual monthly meeting slot. We are planning to celebrate at the Congregational Hall with a full programme of festive fun and mince pies. Remember to bring your own plate, glass and drink and check through the covid-safe meeting protocol before you come to make sure the meeting is as safe as possible for everyone.

6th January, 7pm – The first meeting of the year will see the craft club trying out silk painting on a small sample piece. All materials will be provided, so any members interested to join the craft club should please email email@example.com in advance so we can make sure to have enough to go round.
13th January, 2.30pm – The January Book of the Month will be ‘The Guest List’ by Lucy Foley.
The Book Club will be meeting as usual at the Greenhouse Cafe at the Langton Garden Centre.
26th January, 7.30pm – If January is the month that leaves you a bit depressed or out of sorts then we hope you’ll find our January session helpful. We are kicking the program for the New Year off with a talk by Carmen Harrington about the benefits of Hypnotherapie and how the technique can help restore balance and calm in times of stress. And remember – this meeting will take place at the new location!
