Monthly Programme 2026/2027

Our committee have put together a full programme for the monthly meetings with an exciting mix of informative, crafting and entertainment sessions. Here is what is planned for the year 2026/2027:

April 22nd

Carol’s CapersCarol Marsden will recount her travels across the world raising money for charity. Her travels cover anything from dog sledding in Scandinavia to crossing the Sahara by camel. It promises to be a fun filled session with lots of beautiful photos.

May 27th  

The Happy Stylist – Bridget Albano provides inspiration and styling tips helping us to choose outfits with confidence

June 24th

Windowsill PlantsSusie Lickman will share with us her top tips for looking after our plants and how to choose the right plant for the right environment.

July – Summer Break

No meeting this month

August 26th

Forage and Preserve An interesting talk focussing on foraging local fruits and seeds for preserving in jams, chutneys, wines and baked goods.

 September 23rd

Annual General Meeting – A fun evening with a Dutch supper, some Pimms and some blind tasting together with the chance to vote, volunteer and make new friends.

October 28th

British Red Cross First Aid Workshop An introduction to basic First Aid and the chance to practice CPR.

November 25th

Christmas Craft – Clare Farquhar will lead a Christmas crafting session.

December 9th

Bollywood with Charlie – A chance to wiggle those hips and join in some Bollywood Dancing with Charlie Fit. (NB – this meeting is earlier in the month due to the Christmas Break!)

January 27th

Walking the French Camino Way – Having gathered inspiration from a previous WI talk on walking the Camino Way, out WI member Ruth Halberda will share tales from her 5.5 week long walk along the French Camino Way to Santiago de Compostela.

February 24th

Theatrical Dresser – Paul Read will allow us a peek behind the scenes of the West End Theater World and the life of a principal dresser to the famous faces of theatre, film and TV.

March 24th

Competition Time! – Join us for making (and modeling) Easter Bonnets in teams.
