Time to get those shiny new diaries out and make a note of what will be happening at the Market Harborough WI in the New Year.

Allotment – In Hibernation

The Gardening Girls have now closed down the allotment until spring next year. There will be a few planning meetings (involving a decent amount of cake and tea for sure) in the next few months before meetings start again in spring every Monday (weather permitting) from 2pm (until we run out of steam…). If you would like to join in next season please contact Julie at Jusellars1960@gmail.com 

Craft Club – 9th January

The Craft Club will be planning the line up for the 2025 crafting calendar, so bring your ideas along to the meeting at 7pm at the Congregational Church in Bowden Lane! If you would like to join the MHWI Craft Club, please contact Fiona at fegraham1@gmail.com

Book Club – 15th January

The Book Angels Book Club will be meeting at the Three Swans at 2.30pm. The book of the month is Middlemarch by George Eliot which will be continued from December. Please contact Valerie at vhitchcox50@hotmail.com if you would like to join.

Walking Group – in Hibernation

The Walking Group is currently in hibernation. A planning meeting will be arranged in February, so if you would like to join the group, please email Fiona at f_tomlin@sky.com

January Social – Darts & Skittles 15th January

Our January social event will be a Darts & Skittles evening at The Royalist pub in Western Avenue. We’ll be meeting at 6.30pm, it is free to play and food will be available to order. Please email marketharboroughwi@gmail.com if you would like to sign up!

MHWI Monthly Meeting – 22nd January

After after the hectic time over Christmas the January meeting is designed to bring some calm and relaxation with an evening all about Wellness with a number of practitioners presenting. The meeting will be at the usual time of 7.30pm at the Church Hall in Fairfield Road.
