First the heatwave and as soon as anyone says ‘hosepipe ban’ it starts to rain… Let’s hope summer finds a bit of a balance in August. If you have some spare time, why not join us for some of the activities planned for this month?

Allotment – Every Monday

The Allotment is coming along nicely with lots of seeds and plants in the ground. The Gardening Girls meet every Monday as long as the weather is not too wet from 2pm (until they run out of steam…). If you would like to join please contact Julie at Jusellars1960@gmail.com to get the code for the gate.

Craft Club – Summer Break

There is no craft club this month – see you back in September!

Walking Group – 6th August

The Walking Group will meet at 6.30 pm in Husbands Bosworth for the heritage walk that was cancelled last month. The final meeting place/parking directions will be send to members via the Walking Club WhatsApp group. If you would like to join the group, please email Fiona at f_tomlin@sky.com

Book Club – 20th August

The Book Angels Book Club will be meeting at the Three Swans at 2.30pm. This month members will read a novel of their own choice for light reading. Please contact Valerie at vhitchcox50@hotmail.com if you would like to join.

MHWI Monthly Meeting – 27th August

For our monthly meeting at the church hall in Fairfield Road we will have a practical demonstration of a drone by Terry Eato and look at examples of drone photography over Market Harborough. The meetings starts at 7.30pm and we look forward to seeing you there!
