Well – the days are closing in, Guy Fawkes Night is on the horizon and we are on winter time. We still have a bunch of interesting things in the diary for our members in November which we hope will tempt you out to join us.

Allotment – Bedding down for WInter
The last harvest is in and the allotment is being tidied up for winter. Despite the summer heat it has been a fun year of digging, planting, new projects and – most importantly – plenty of tea and natter.
Over winter there will be a number of planning meetings (involving tea and cake of course!), so if you would like to join next season, please contact Julie at Jusellars1960@gmail.com to get the access details for the allotment site on Stevens Street.
Craft Club – 5th November
This month the Craft Club will be meeting at 7pm in the upstairs room at the Congregational Church in Bowden Lane to make felt animal Christmas decorations. More details will be broadcast via the WhatsApp group. Please contact fegraham1@gmail.com if you would like to be added to the group.
Walking Group – Winter Break
The Walking Group enjoyed glorious sunshine on their last walk for this year, which took them from Medbourne to Neville Holt and back.
There will be a meeting of the group early next year to plan the walks for 2027, so if you would like to join, please email Fiona at f_tomlin@sky.com to be added to the WhatsApp group.
Coffee Club – 6th November
The next Coffee Club meeting is booked from 10 am at Hotel Chocolat in the upstairs room. MHWI members don’t need to book – just turn up for a coffe and a natter. Looking forward to see you there!
Book Club – 18th November
The Book Angels Book Club will be meeting at the Three Swans at 2.30pm. Members will read a biography or auto-biography of their choice to present at the meeting.Please contact Valerie at vhitchcox50@hotmail.com if you would like to join in.
Monthly Meeting – 25th November
We are getting closer to Christmas and so members will be doing some Christmas crafting with Clare Farquhar at the monthly meeting. The meeting will start as usual at 7.30pm at the Church Hall of Our Ladies of Victories Church in Fairfield Road. More information will be send out to member by email in due course.
And Finally!
The Market Harborough WI will again be taking part in the Christmas Tree Festival at St Dionysius Church. This year the theme is ‘Winter Wonderland’ and many members have contributed ornaments for the tree already. Set up will be on the 25th/26th November ahead of the Festival starting on the 27th, so if you have time to help, please note the dates in your diary. The exact time and meeting arrangements will be emailed out to members in due course.
