Would you believe that we have arrived in February already?!?

Please find below the key dates for our program for the next few months. The committee is also working on a full programme schedue for the rest of the year which will be published shortly. So watch this space!

Craft Club

3rd February, 7pm – We’ll kick off the Craft Club program for the year with a Silk Painting Session led by our own Anne Clayton. Remember that Craft Club Meetings will now be held at the Methodist Church in Northampton Road (opposite the Market Hall) in the upstairs room. Materials will be provided, so please email marketharboroughwi@gmail.com if you would like to join in and are not currently on the craft club list.

Book Club

10th February, 2.30pm –  The February Book of the Month will be ‘I Am an Island’ by Tamsin Calidas

The Book Club will be meeting as usual at the Greenhouse Cafe at the Langton Garden Centre.

Monthly Meeting

23rd February, 7.30pmIn a change to the original program the February Meeting will feature an evening of Crafting with Clare.  The Colourworks session will be re-scheduled to later in the year.

Clare will teach us how to make zip flower brooches that can be used to pep up clothes, as a piece of jewellery or to add some zip (pun intended) to a bag. Materials will be provided, so we’ll be emailing members to find out how many will be attending the meeting.

Craft Club

3rd March, 7pm – At our March craft club meeting we will learn how to decorate cards with beads, jewellery and buttons. Materials will be provided! And if you are interested in what else the craft club will be doing this year why not have a look at the full programme here

Book Club

10th March, 2.30pm –  The Book of the Month for March will be ‘The Glorious Guiness Girls’ by Emi Hourican

The Book Club will be meeting as usual at the Greenhouse Cafe at the Langton Garden Centre.

Monthly Meeting

23rd March, 7.30pm – In March we will welcome Yuko Dixon, who lives in Leicestershire and runs a Japanese Dining Sevice and Cookery School. Yuko will give us an introduction to Japanese culture and then a cooking demonstration – and of course you’ll be able to sample her dishes! Just so that we can plan the amount of food required we will ask you to let us know if you are coming nearer the time.

Craft Club

7th April, 7pm – In April we will be doing some Mirror Work – this a technique of using little pieces of mirror in embroidery and is often found on asian decorative fabrics. 14th April, 2.30pm – The book of the month for April will be ‘The Promise’ by Damon Galgut

Monthly Meeting

27th April, 7.30pm – In April we will hear a talk by Suzi Felstaed about The Magistry and what is means to be a Magistrate. This promises to be a very informative evening, so make sure to safe the day!
