The MHWI Walking Club met for their first walk of the year in Hallaton. The weather god was smiling on us – the sun was out, there was just a gentle breeze and the temperature was perfect for walking.
The walk took us past the pond in Hallaton via the edge of the recreation ground across the fields with some magid views over the rolling Leicestershire country side.
Our map reading was a bit rusty after the long hibernation, but we did eventually spot the ‘missing’ bridge and that elusive yellow marker. A couple of hours out and about gave us plenty of opportunity to chat, take photos of the first signs of spring and generally feel at one with the world.
And once back in Hallaton we finished off with well-deserved refreshments at The Fox Inn. What else can a girl want on a Sunday…?
Thanks for organising the walk Fiona! And if you want to join our next walk in May, send us an email to email@example.com with your details! Or you can find out more about the Walking Club on our website here.
