Autumn is here – fingers crossed we’ll have a glorious Indian summer!

Allotment – Every Monday

The allotment is moving into squash and pumpkin season and a lot of the activities now turn to tidying up beds and sorting out compost. The group meets every Monday (weather permitting) at 2pm so if you would like to join this season, please contact Julie at Jusellars1960@gmail.com to get the access details for the allotment site on Stevens Street.

Craft Club – 1st October

Staying with the pumpkin theme, members of the Craft Club will be meeting at 7pm in the upstairs room at the Congregational Church in Bowden Lane to make fabric pumpkins. More details will be broadcast via the WhatsApp group. Please contact fegraham1@gmail.com if you would like to be added to the group.

Walking Group – 11th October

The Walking Group members will be meeting at 10am at Medbourne for their last walk of the season. The meeting place will be broadcast as usual through WhatsApp, so if you would like to join, please email Fiona at f_tomlin@sky.com to be added to the WhatsApp group.

Coffee Club – 12th October

The next Coffee Club meeting is booked from 10 am at the Three Swans in Market Harborough. MHWI members don’t need to book – just turn up for a coffe and a natter. Look forward to seeing you there!

October Social Event – 14th October

Our October Member Social Event is an evening meal in Market Harborough. We’ll meet at Avatar at 6.30pm. Please email marketharboroughwi@gmail.com if you would like to join in or sign up at the September Monthly Meeting on Wednesday. Places are limited and a deposit of £ 5,- is payable into the MHWI account in advance.

Book Club – 21st October

The Book Angels Book Club will be meeting at the Three Swans at 2.30pm. This month’s book will be Warlight by Michael Ondaatje

Monthly Meeting – 28th October

The British Red Cross will be visiting us for this month’s meeting and give us an introduction to First Aid and CPR (and yes – you will be able to practice!). The meeting will start as usual at 7.30pm at the Church Hall of Our Ladies of Victories Church in Fairfield Road.
