Just as we got used to enjoying the sunshine and the first signs of spring the new month is snatching it away again with grey days more aligned with the season. So to cheer you up, here is the updated list of meetings and activities planned for our members for the next few months.

The new subscription year starts on 1st April 2021 and so we will be collecting the subs for next year this month. Details of our discounted fee have been sent out to members by email. Please note the new bank account details if you are planning to pay by BACS.
Thursday, 4th March
Craft Club at 7.30 pm – We’ll be meeting via Zoom to make Beeswax Food Covers this month. Materials have been handed out to subscribers to the session, but make sure to have the remaining items listed on the instructions ready to go!
Saturday, 6th March
The Leicestershire & Rutland Federation Annual Council Meeting will take place via Zoom this year. Speakers include Sally Illsley of the Girl Guides and Horticulturalist Christine Walkden. Access details will be send out to attendees by 3rd March.
Monday, 8th March
Book Club Meeting at 7.30 pm – The book of the month for March will be Trumpet by Jackie Kay. Zoom access details will be send out to members by email – let us know if you want to join
Sunday, 14th March – Mother’s Day

Wednesday, 24th March
Monthly Meeting at 7.30pm. For this meeting we are planning a Zoom Talk by Debbie Bradley about ‘How to start your family tree’. This absorbing past time has found many new fans while people were grounded during the lock-downs last year. If you are interested and would like to find out how to go about diving into your family’s past why not join us – Zoom access details will be send out by email to all members closer to the day.

Craft Club at 7.30 pm – No – its no joke! We will be meeting at 7.30 pm for our monthly chat and crafting session. This month Clare will do a session on colouring stamped images. Images will be send out to members ahead of the time, so Email marketharboroughwi@gmail.com if you would like to join

Book Club Meeting at 7.30pm – For April we are going to have a bit of a change and read a book of our own choice on anything to do with India – so plenty of scope there to hunt around the bookshelves! We will also be deciding on the book for May, which should be a historical novel – so bring some suggestions! Zoom details will be send out via email to all book club members, so get in touch if you would like to join!
Wednesday, 28th April
Monthly Meeting at 7.30pm. For this meeting we will try Quilling. Jane Jenkins has been teaching Quilling for 40 years and will introduce us to all six of the basic quilling techniques through making of three flower cards. For this session we will need to send out some materials, so look out for an email with the details of how to subswcribe. No experience needed – just subscribe, join in and try it!

Monthly Meeting at 7.30pm. Get ready for summer and limber up with Tai Chi. Tina Flloyd from www.myseniorgym.com will put us through our paces and teach us how to keep supple. No experience needed – just join in!
