Our February Social Evening was at #56 in Kibworth to spend an evening learning about glass fusion and trying our hand at a few pieces. The team at #56 provided a great buffet dinner and with the help of Glass Artist Sarah Jane Luke we all managed to put together our own sun catcher and/or candle holder. The proof will be in the pudding at the next monthly meeting when we will receive the fired and finished items… Can’t wait!

Our year started this week with all the buzz of a new program and great attendance for the talk by Marion Lewis OBE about scams and frauds.

Marion has long standing experience in fighting fraud and received her OBE for her service to community safety. Her talk about real life cases of cynical scams and their tragic consequences was both moving and eye opening. If you would like more information about the subject, why not visit http://www.thinkjessica.com where you can not only find information about scams and how they are operated, but also a wealth of good ideas to help protect yourselves. Let’s give those fraudsters a run for their money!

Just a gentle reminder that our next meeting will be on Wednesday, 22nd January. Marion Lewis OBE will provide valuable information on the numerous scams to extort financial gain and how you can keep yourself safe.
Please also remember to bring your completed membership renewal forms with you. Please contact marketharboroughwi@gmail.com if you have not received yours by email.
See you at the meeting!

The group met at the Coach and Horses in Lubenham after having to move venue at short notice. The team at the pub was super helpful in arranging the event, the food was great and the evening a great success. Ton-Eighty!

The deadline for the submission of our votes for the 2019/2020 resolutions is getting closer and so we will be handing out voting slips at the next meeting on the 22nd January. Additional information about the five proposed resolutions was sent out by email today. Please contact marketharboroughwi@gmail.com before the meeting if you did not receive this email.
We’d love to see you there!
