What an interesting evening we had last Wednesday. Our speaker, Andrew Sutton, shared with us the inspiration for his love of art and various artists based on such things as his upbringing, his holidays and his experiences in life. He showed us some of the well known artists who have influenced him and shared with us some of his absolutely fantastic art work.

Thank you Andrew for a really informative evening.

We have arranged a visit to the Plant Man on Tuesday 5th September at 6pm. We will have the run of the nursery and the tills will be open if anyone would like to purchase anything. Tea and coffee will be served free of charge and we will hear about what the Plant Man has been doing and plans for the future. He will show us how to do a planting display in the form of a hanging basket with trailing pansies and there will be the chance for a gardeners question time.

We look forward to seeing you there

(The Plant man is situated at The Hawthorns, Park Hill, Braybrooke, LE16 8LP)

Eco Village Gardeners

Two of our WI members, Lesley and Jane, have been praised by the Eco Village for all of their efforts in bringing to life and maintaining the Eco village community garden and also for their colourful garden bunting.

Thanks to their efforts the garden is now thriving and has so far provided rhubarb, raspberries, kales and much more for the community fridge and community cafe.

Jane and Lesley offered their services to the Eco Village after our meeting there in May and it looks like they have done an amazing job. Well done ladies x
