Happy New Year Everyone. We hope you have all enjoyed your Christmas festivities.

We will be holding a ‘Wellness Evening’ on Wednesday 25th January with several speakers from local businesses helping to ensure we look after ourselves and take some quality ‘me’ time.

As required by the WI we will also be voting on the resolutions. These can be found in the Nov/Dec edition of WI Life together with a voting slip. If you do still have the magazine please familiarise yourselves with the resolutions and bring along your completed voting slip. There will also be voting slips available on the evening.

The ACM is 18th March and will be held at Leicester Grammar School. If you would like to attend please advise one of the committee members on Wednesday evening.

And finally as part of the ‘recycle and reuse’ ethos of the WI – if you have any unwanted christmas gifts please bring them along for the WI raffle. Many thanks.

VIVA VINO WINE TASTING           We are pleased to welcome Chris from Viva Vino on Wednesday for our festive Christmas get together. Chris will be educating us on wine and his jolly good boxes. There will be wine tasting and the opportunity to purchase a glass or two of wine on the night. So please bring cash as there will be no card payment facilities. Chris will also be taking orders for your Christmas vino.

BUFFET SUPPER         We will also be having a ‘bring and share’ buffet supper. so please bring a dish for the buffet. Please also bring any non alcoholic beverages you wish to drink – tea/coffee will not be served.

SECRET SANTA  AND RAFFLE  We will also be having a Secret Santa so please bring along a wrapped gift to an approx. value of £5. This will enable you to choose another Secret Santa gift and have a surprise to open on Christmas Day.

We will also be holding a special Christmas Raffle with cash prizes  so please bring some cash to buy a ticket or 2!

We look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday for a fun evening. Feel free to wear your christmas jumpers or festive outfits.

The Welland Valley WI Group will be holding the annual Christmas Carol Service at Glooston Church on Monday 5th December at 7pm with refreshments afterwards at Glooston Village hall.  Several members of the committee will be attending and it would be great if some of our members are able to join us.

A very enjoyable and productive evening saw us make our own name badges, guided by our very own crafting expert Clare Farquar. No more sticky labels for us.
