Thank you to everyone who supported this event: making items, having a stall, helping to plan and run the event and by just popping in on 16 April. We made £150 for MHWI funds.
We hope this will be just the first of our craft fairs. We learned some things, too, and will be working on these for the next one.

Market Harborough WI held their first ever craft fair today! Another great first and held in our town’s landmark Old Grammar School. Thanks to all concerned for their hard work, especially Patsy, Evanda, Virgina, Fiona, Ann and Sarah who braved the cold and made fantastic sales on the cake and “shop-in-a-box” stalls.
Talking of cakes! A huge thank you for all the donations! The quantity and the quality was amazing.
We would also like to thank all the ladies from other WI’s that supported the event. Melton Afternoons, Charnwood WIgs and Cam City helped make the event and we hope they were pleased with their sales. It was a great event to share ideas and support each other and we hope to do more of this in the future.

When you are in town this Saturday, do call into the Old Grammar School on High Street and say hello. The MHWI craft fair will be running from 11 am to 3 pm.The Craft Fair is just around the corner on Saturday 16 April, 11 am to 3 pm. There’e been a change of plans for the Craft Fair on 16th April. There will not be a tombola staff after all so prizes are no longer needed.
‘Blinged up’ mice
‘Another lovely night of crafting with Market Harborough WI craft group,’ reports MHWI member, Tansy Tilly.

‘We collected all the pieces of bunting in that we had made since the last meeting (one is almost complete now, can be seen on the table). Some of us continued to make more bunting while others either made knitted mice or decorated ones that had already been made. See the photo for our completed works of art!’
‘We will continue to work on the bunting and mice in preparation for the craft fair in April.
Next meeting we plan to make some lavender/herb bags and the oat/flower/essential oil bath sachets we learnt to make at a previous meet, also for the craft fair.’
Tansy concludes, ‘On a personal note I really enjoyed being able to share some of my knitting knowledge with others in the group. Looking forward to the next meeting.‘
