There’s still time to sign up for the first meeting of our new Walking Club which will now take place on:
Sunday, 3rd June 2018 at 10 am
Meet at The Commons Car Park, Market Harborough.
Contact Roseanne on e-mail to put your name down: oxendon12@gmail.com
We will be walking up to Union Wharf in Market Harborough and along the tow path, which is looking really lovely at this time of year. The walk should take between 1hr 15mins to 1hr 30mins approximately. Afterwards we will be relaxing, having a coffee and a chat. It’s a great opportunity to get fit while sharing some time with friends.
Do try and come along and support Roseanne and Fiona with this new venture, which many of you asked for on the recent survey. It’s your chance to put forward ideas about future walks – locations, days, times, length, etc.

1. Medical Alert Assistance Dogs who support people with complex health conditions, primarily Type 1 diabetes, but also conditions such as nut allergies, seizures.
2. Bio Detection Dogs are trained to detect minute odours associated with many cancers and other diseases at a very early stage. These dogs screen research samples from patients at the centre – they never ‘indicate’ on a person. It is hoped these dogs could help scientists and medics develop faster, cheaper, non-invasive methods of diagnosis.
