The next monthly meeting is on 18th December – a week earlier than our usual slot.

To help us on our way to being organised for Christmas in true WI style, we will have a session with Katherine Wright about sustainable wrapping. We will also be having a Dutch Supper, so please remember to bring along your favorite dish and drink and don’t forget your own plate, cutlery and glass to avoid using single use plastic.
Members of the Market Harborough WI spent an enjoyable evening learning how to do Chrickenscratch Embroidery for Christmas Decorations. Thank you Fiona for a fun evening learning new skills!

And just in case you did not notice: 21 Days to Christmas!
Delighted to have our Allotment Club featured in the latest edition of WI Life Magazine. Check out the article on page 49 on the goings on at 41A Cricket Pitch View… And if you would like to join our group why not chat to one of us at the next meeting or contact us at marketharboroughwi@gmail.com

At the next meeting Fiona will demonstrate Chicken Scratch Embroidery. We will be providing all the materials so everyone can have a go at sewing a few cross stitches onto gingham fabric and start their own Christmas card. Please bring your own scissors!
There will also be a special Raffle this month with prizes made and donated by members of the Craft Club. Hope to see you all there!

The Walking Club is planning a walk near Glooston this Sunday, 24th November. Meet at Glooston Village Hall at 10am for a 3.5 mile walk. Make sure to wear suitable boots and gear as some of the fields can be on the muddy side.

Our latest social evening was an entertaining Table Skittles evening at the Bull’s Head in Clipston.
Two teams fought hard to carry the game with some creative throws and near misses livening things up. Thankfully all team members survived unscathed and enjoyed an excellent meal together. Thank you Jan for organising this fun event – let’s make it an autumn tradition!

Fabulous talk about 1940’s fashion by Amy of Amy’s Vintage in Market Harborough at our last monthly meeting. Amazing examples of fashion, ‘make do and mend’ as well as a hair do demonstration was enjoyed by all our members. Thank you Amy!
