Pop along the road to Walcote (near Lutterworth) and spend an evening making a Christmas wreath to take home and hang on your front door – Wednesday 13 December 2017: Yuletime welcome 1
Next year the Leicestershire and Rutland Federation of WIs is 100 years’ old. You can join in these unique celebrations on Saturday 18 March 2018 at Bruntingthorpe (it’s even on our side of the county). Tickets £14 and the event is for WI members only (it should be a huge event as all the WI members in the 2 counties are invited). So put the date on your calendar now and get together with other MHWI members to make a memorable day of it. Full details of times and speakers attached: ACM 2018 flyer
Check out the L&R Fed page for new events, including an additional opportunity to go to the Harrogate Christmas Market on Saturday 18 November as an additional coach is now picking up from Uppingham and Oakham.
A bit of a mixture there? Yes, you’re right. Jerusalem Jammers are looking for new members (garland dancers) and you can go along to Kirby Muxloe on Friday 29th September to find out more. JJ 2017-05-13 poster_edited-1.psd

Why not get together with other MHWI members and have an outing to one of the many Leicestershire & Rutland Federation events planned for the rest of 2017? There’s craft, coach trips, science question time, to name but a few.
MHWI members have lots of hidden talents. Check out our Competitions page and see what you can enter: craft, quiz, poetry, writing and art. What can you enter?
The sun may be shining and summer is here but you might like to book a place on this trip in November: it’s selling out fast and is understood to be a great day out and a second coach leaving from Hinckley:
Chatsworth Christmas Market1
SECOND COACH DEPARTING FROM HINCKLEY FOR CHATSWORTH
Due to the popularity of the visit to Chatsworth and the Christmas Markets on Thursday, 30 November 2017, another coach has been arranged to leave near Hinckley library at 10.00am (to be confirmed) on the same day. The entry for the house for this trip will be at 3.45pm and will take approximately 1 hour to go round. Departure from Chatsworth will be about 5.15 pm. In view of the slightly longer journey from Hinckley to Chatsworth, the charge for the day’s outing will cost £31.
Please note that this coach is in addition to the coach that will leave WI House on 30 November at 9.30am.
The entry time to Chatsworth House for this coach is 3.00pm.
Please note that the coach from WI House is filling up very quickly. If you have already made a booking and would like to transfer to the Hinckley coach, please let us know as soon as possible.
