Items for jewellery valuation

Do you have a piece of jewellery you would like valuing?  If so, then a speaker from Thornton’s Jewellery will be giving a talk at our October meeting.  A number of items, selected randomly from those put forward by MHWI members, will be valued.

If you are interested in having an item valued, then let Fiona Dudridge, Committee Member, know at next week’s monthly meeting.  You could also email: marketharboroughwi@gmail.com

It’s that time of year again – our WI AGM is on Wednesday 27th Sept. There is lots going on and we will being having a Dutch Supper so please bring along a plate of nibbles to share if you are able.   We will also be compiling a little survey amongst members for new ideas – for speakers, socials, monthly meetings etc so please take a moment to do this; we are all part of the WI and your ideas and suggestions really do count.

Instead of the normal raffle, we are going to do a Surprise Jar raffle, suggested by Fiona, our ‘raffle lady’! If members could each fill a jar with anything you wish and bring it along; it could be a jar of recipes, smellies, sweeties, bulbs, crafts. Use your imagination!

More bath bombs – a successful evening

Fantastic session at craft group last Thursday. Massive thanks to Anne for sharing her knowledge and showing us how to make our own bath bombs. We all left very happy with our creations and it was great fun making them. Anne also demonstrated how to create therapeutic bath salts and we all got a jar to take home! Tansy x
