There was a really good turn out for the very first outing of our newly formed Walking Club this morning.    The weather was just perfect as 15 of us set off for a very enjoyable walk along the canal from Union Wharf.

Walk - 03-06-2018 - group by canal

Walk - s03-06-2018

A few adorable four-legged friends joined us too!

Then there was plenty of time afterwards to sit and relax in the sunshine at the Three Swans.

The next meeting of Craft Club will be on Thursday, 7th June 2018 between 7pm to 9pm in The Lounge at the Congregational Church, Market Harborough.

The topic will be Appliqué, so you need to bring along your own picture to copy, some scraps of fabric, embroidery threads and sewing equipment.

At the last meeting in May, ten members tore up paper and got very sticky gluing pieces down to make decoupage boxes!    Materials ranged from old magazines and comics to wrapping paper and even music sheets, with some very impressive results being produced.

There’s still time to sign up for the first meeting of our new Walking Club which will now take place on:

Sunday, 3rd June 2018 at 10 am

Meet at The Commons Car Park, Market Harborough.

Contact Roseanne on e-mail to put your name down:  oxendon12@gmail.com

We will be walking up to Union Wharf in Market Harborough and along the tow path, which is looking really lovely at this time of year.  The walk should take between 1hr 15mins to 1hr 30mins approximately.   Afterwards we will be relaxing, having a coffee and a chat.   It’s a great opportunity to get fit while sharing some time with friends.

Do try and come along and support Roseanne and Fiona with this new venture, which many of you asked for on the recent survey.  It’s your chance to put forward  ideas about future walks – locations, days, times, length, etc.
