Tonight is our annual meeting. Your chance to celebrate another successful year with other members and the Committee. Maybe you have some great ideas on what you’d like to see happening next year? If so, It’s your chance, too, to step up, and make those things happen.
We’ll be celebrating with a Dutch Supper (everyone brings a plate of food, sweet or savoury, to share). Bring a couple of glasses, too, and your favourite tipple.
Other things to remember:
- Bring along any unwanted books you wish to donate to the Book Sale. Pick up some more autumn evening reading for just £1 a title. or 4 for £3.
- Raffle – bring along a decorated jar of small items for this month’s raffle Can’t wait to see what surprising things members can put in a jar. Now there’s a challenge!
- Pick up a scarf bargain for the autumn – we’ll have some for sale.
- Guess the number of buttons in a jar – £1 entry and a prize for the best guess.
Bring your unwanted books (for any age group or interest) along for our book sale. Better still, pick up a bargain for yourself for an evening read now that the days are drawing in: £1 each or 4 for £3.
A chance to be creative (and crafty, too). For Wednesday’s raffle, find an empty jar, decorate it and fill it with whatever takes your fancy: tiny bulbs, sweets, bath time treats, the choice is yours.
At the annual meeting next Wednesday, we’ll be asking members to complete a short survey, asking your views on what works well for you and what you’d like to see happening. So, thinking caps on, and bring your ideas next Wednesday.,
Unfortunately, we have had to cancel the Skittles evening at the Railway Inn, Kibworth, tonight as a number of members have dropped out.
We hope to re-arrange again in the near future.
Skittles night with meal this evening at the Railway Inn at Kibworth, start 7 pm, £6, payable tonight.
