William French is tonight’s speaker. Dressed in his butler uniform, William will be telling us how how he came to be a royal butler, together with humorous anecdotes from his career on the Royal Yacht Britannia and other venues.
Remember that the raffle is bags and scarves, so maybe a chance to go home with something to brighten up your spring wardrobe.

The evening Includes a little workshop for the ‘Perfect Serve’, a look at gin itself, tasters of local gins and a variety of gorgeous mixers. For eats, there are platters of nibbles, including a charcuterie platter, a fritter plater including scampi, prawns, etc, a fish platter and a haloumi platter. Charles Hanson with the winner of the best hat competition, theme ‘Mad Hatter. Money raised will go to Wear a Hat Day which supports brain tumour research.
Over 90 members from Welland Valley Group of WIs have joined us tonight and are listening to the humourous anecdotes from guest speaker, Charles Hanson, of Bargain Hunt, Floggit and Antiques Roadshow fame.
A reminder to be there by 7 pm this evening (it’s an early start) at the Welland Group of WIs meeting when Charles Hanson of Bargain Hunt will be our guest speaker.
Don’t forget to wear a hat (if you wish). Mad Hatters is the theme. A £1 donation will be requested, proceeds to support Wear a Hat day again which raises money for brain tumour research.
