Fashion Show invitation – Friday 22 April, Langham
Langham and Barleythorpe WI has tickets available to their SOS Fashion Show on Friday, 22 April at 7pm at Village Hall in Langham.
Tickets are £5 to include wine and canapés.
There will now be some tickets on the door.

Royal Butler insight at Welland WI group meeting
William French, former Royal Butler
‘What is it like to meet the Queen? Or serve on the Royal Yacht Britannia when it’s being used for a honeymoon?’ These questions, and some other royal secrets, were ably shared with Welland Group members last night by William J French, former Royal Butler.
William has also worked for employers including the Rothschild family, the Saudi Royal Family and Nicole Kudman, actress (and thereby lies a story of the chicken fillets … ?).*
Several MHWI members attended the annual group meeting, this year hosted by Caldecott WI. An entertaining evening, with a delightful, homemade tea and rounded off by a game of Pointless, where several of our members scored low, just missing winning the competition.
*Am sure we will be booking William for an MHWI meeting to hear his full story.

Check out the latest events planned across the county: beginners’ crochet, lunch club, faith visit are just a few. How about getting together with several other MHWI members and representing us at a Federation quiz in early July? Foxton WI host Federation quiz
There are also several floral art workshops across the country organised by national WI.

Are you free on Thursday evening, 10 March?
If so, there are 2 tickets left for MHWI members to attend the WI Welland Annual Group Meeting in Caldecott (who are hosting the event this year). There will be supper, a speaker talking about the life of a Royal butler) and brief updates from all WIs in the Group. If you would like to join some of your Committee members on the 10th, email: marketharboroughwi@gmail.com or speak to Isabel (Secretary) at the monthly meeting on 24 February.
Donate unwanted jewellery and raise money for heart research
Do you have unwanted or broken jewellery? It can be costume, gold, silver, beads, broken watches or odd earrings. All items can be put to good use to raise money for Heart Research UK – The Treasure Chest Appeal
Items collected at the March monthly meeting by MHWI members will be taken by a Committee member to the Leicestershire and Rutland Federation of WI’s 2016 Annual Council Meeting on 12 March.
Start sifting through your drawers and wardrobes now for all those unwanted items that just sit there.
