Craft Club – 3rd October 2019

The next meeting of the Craft Club will be on Thursday, 3rd October 2019 at 7pm in the Lounge at the Congregational Church in Market Harborough. This month we will be making gifts for the Christmas Raffle. Bring your own project – all ideas welcome!

Calling all Crafters – put MHWI on the map

Next year is the Leicestershire & Rutland Federation Centenary.  There will be a huge, celebratory event at Bruntingthorpe next March.  WIs are invited to submit one entry per group to celebrate the last 100 years (details below).  So, come on MHWI crafters, this has to be one for you.  Interested?  Contact the Craft Group on: marketharboroughwi@gmail.com or come along to the next monthly Craft Club meeting.  You can also speak to Anne Clayton or Val Hitchcox at the monthly meeting on Wednesday, 28 June.

Brenda Barnett Trophy – ‘A Era from the last 100 years 1918-2018 – board (of set size) depicting 3 events, one entry per WI to celebrate the Leicestershire & Rutland Federation Centenary in 2018.  Entry form by 29 January 2018, completed board due early March 2018.  All boards to be displayed at Annual Council Meeting at Bruntingthorpe next March.  Brenda Barnett Trophy 2018  This has to be something for our Craft Group?!

Diary date – coffee time – Saturday 5 July – crafty items needed

Put this date in your diaries and bring along family and friends.  Our major fund raising even this year will be on Saturday 5 July 2014 in the Market Harborough Theatre Lounge.

In the meantime, if you have a crafty hobby and would like to while away these dark winter days and evenings making items to donate to sell, then get going now.  Whilst we hope members will donate items, small amounts of expenses for materials can be reimbursed.

So whatever your hobby, get knitting, sewing, crocheting, card making or whatever your skill, now!
